In case you missed it, here's a look back at the Book Launch Party for The Runaway.
'What went into this launch party?' I hear you ask
One trendy coffee shop in the city centre, plus lots of family, friends and readers I met for the first time that day.
Add in free cake and coffee for everyone who attended, a book-signing session, and even me braving my fear of microphones to say a bit about what inspired The Runaway and why it's such an important story to me.
Awkward author photo? Nailed it:
I learned a couple of important things about book signings:
They're a great way of making sure you get to talk to everyone who's made the effort to come to your event
You get to sit down for a bit, which is really nice
I'm not very good at multi-tasking holding a conversation while signing my own name
All in all, a very fun evening. I hope I'll get to attend many more in the future!
